Heating work in Erdington

The older terraces off the Erdington High Street tend to have compact combis squeezed into kitchens, often with condensate runs to outside walls that freeze in the first hard frost of the year — a fault we clear dozens of times each winter and one many owners can fix themselves once shown how.

The larger interwar semis towards Short Heath and Stockland Green more often still run cylinder systems. There is a strong rental market here too, so landlord certificates and multi-appliance checks make up a good share of our Erdington work.

Recent work in Erdington

A terrace off the High Street called out on the first hard frost with the boiler locked out — a frozen condensate run, exactly as expected that week. We cleared it and showed the owner how to do it themselves next time rather than charging for a repeat visit.

A Stockland Green semi still on a cylinder system was quoted for a combi conversion. Two bathrooms in regular use meant we advised against it and priced a system boiler instead.
