Who we are

What we collect, and why

When you contact us, book a job or ask for a quote we collect your name, address, phone number, email and details of the work. We use this to quote for, carry out and invoice the work, to arrange access and appointments, and to meet our record-keeping duties as a Gas Safe registered business. The lawful basis is the contract with you (or the steps you ask us to take before one), and legal obligation for gas safety records.

When you use the website, what is measured depends on your cookie choice. Before you choose, no analytics or advertising cookies are set, but Google’s tag loads in a restricted mode and sends Google a cookieless signal that a page was viewed: the page address, the time, your browser type and an approximate location from your IP address. If you accept, analytics and advertising cookies are set and your visits are measured, including how visitors reach us from our Google adverts. Accepting also lets Microsoft Clarity record how our pages are used (clicks, scrolling and the pages viewed) so we can see where the site is confusing; anything you type into a form is hidden from it, and it does not load at all unless you accept. If you reject, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and Google’s tag stays in that restricted, cookieless mode; the few items our cookie policy lists as stored without cookies (your choice, a draft of the enquiry form and, if you came from one of our adverts, the advert reference for that visit) are still kept in your browser. The cookies are used only with your consent, and you can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page — see our cookie policy. The website enquiry form is delivered to us by Web3Forms, which processes the form contents solely to pass them to us. If you use the website chat assistant, the messages you type are processed to answer your question and passed to us so we can follow up your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Gas safety records and installation certificates are retained as required by law and by Gas Safe Register — landlord gas safety records for at least two years, Building Regulations and warranty records for the life of the guarantee. Enquiry details that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months.

Who we share it with

Our job management system (ServiceM8), our form provider (Web3Forms), Google (analytics and advertising measurement: cookies only with your consent, and the cookieless page-view signal described above), Microsoft (Clarity, how pages are used: only with your consent), and, where relevant, Gas Safe Register and your local authority for Building Regulations notification. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw consent for cookies at any time using “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
