Synergy Gas & Plumbing is a family-run, Gas Safe registered heating and plumbing company based in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham B20 2JS, trading since 2017. The business is led by Saeed, an engineer with over 20 years' hands-on experience including more than ten years working for British Gas, covering boiler installation, repair and servicing, landlord certification and 24-hour emergencies.
Who we are
We are a small, family-run firm rather than a franchise or a national brand with a call centre. The person who answers the phone knows the engineer who will turn up. Saeed spent over ten years working for British Gas before starting Synergy Gas & Plumbing in 2017, and that background shows in how jobs get diagnosed — he has usually seen your exact fault a hundred times before. Since 2017 the business has worked on thousands of homes across the West Midlands, from back-to-back terraces in Handsworth to four-bedroom detached houses in Four Oaks.
Qualifications
- Gas Safe registered (594385) — natural gas, domestic
- British Gas trained — over ten years' experience before starting the business
- LPG qualified, which a lot of local firms are not
- G3 qualified for unvented hot water cylinders
- Manufacturer-trained on Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Baxi
- Fully insured, with public liability cover
Always ask any engineer to show you their Gas Safe card. The back lists exactly what they are permitted to work on, and it is worth thirty seconds of your time.
How we work
We publish our prices. Every job we do regularly has a number attached to it on this site. You should not have to ring three firms to find out what a boiler service costs.
We diagnose before we quote. The £99 callout covers a full diagnosis and the first hour, and you get the total repair price before we go further. No open-ended hourly billing, no parts fitted on a guess.
We tell you when not to spend. If your boiler is not worth repairing we will say so and show you the readings. If a £75 balancing job will fix what someone else quoted a £550 power flush for, we will do the £75 job.
Where we work
Birmingham and 10 miles from B20 2JS as standard — Sandwell, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall and much of Dudley. For boiler installations we travel up to 50 miles, which brings in Wolverhampton and further out. See all the areas we cover.
