Saeed Iqbal is the engineer who leads Synergy Gas & Plumbing. He has been on the tools since 2005, joined British Gas in 2006, completed his apprenticeship there and stayed ten years before leaving in 2016 to start Synergy, which has traded since 2017. He works under the company’s Gas Safe registration 594385 — you can check it on the Gas Safe Register, and he will show you his ID card at the door.
Background
Saeed started in the trade in 2005 and joined British Gas in 2006, completing his apprenticeship there. Ten years of British Gas work means a discipline drilled in early: diagnose before you replace, test everything, leave the paperwork right. He left in 2016 and founded Synergy Gas & Plumbing in 2017; the business became a limited company in October 2021 (Synergy Gas & Plumbing Ltd, company number 13680123). Since 2017 he has worked on thousands of homes across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

- LPG — qualified for LPG appliances on top of natural gas, which many local firms are not.
- G3 unvented — qualified for unvented hot water cylinders such as Megaflo.
- Vaillant Advance installer and Baxi Works Associate — accredited on both manufacturers’ own installer programmes.
- Worcester Bosch — manufacturer-trained.
What he works on most
Boiler repair, installation and servicing across Birmingham; landlord gas safety work for single landlords through to block portfolios; and heat interface units (HIUs) in apartment buildings — a specialism most local firms do not touch.
