Who we are

What we collect, and why
When you contact us, book a job or ask for a quote we collect your name, address, phone number, email and details of the work. We use this to quote for, carry out and invoice the work, to arrange access and appointments, and to meet our record-keeping duties as a Gas Safe registered business. The lawful basis is the contract with you (or the steps you ask us to take before one), and legal obligation for gas safety records.
When you use the website, and only if you accept cookies, we collect analytics data about pages visited and how visitors reach us, including from our Google adverts. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can decline or withdraw at any time — see our cookie policy. The website enquiry form is delivered to us by Web3Forms, which processes the form contents solely to pass them to us. If you use the website chat assistant, the messages you type are processed to answer your question and passed to us so we can follow up your enquiry.
How long we keep it
Gas safety records and installation certificates are retained as required by law and by Gas Safe Register — landlord gas safety records for at least two years, Building Regulations and warranty records for the life of the guarantee. Enquiry details that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months.
Who we share it with
Our job management system (ServiceM8), our form provider (Web3Forms), Google (analytics and advertising measurement, only with your consent), and, where relevant, Gas Safe Register and your local authority for Building Regulations notification. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw consent for cookies at any time. Email synergygas.plumbing@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
